updated artist statement
My idea has bended around a bit and now I'm focusing on "how family portraits change" as my narrative. My story is represented wih olors and filters. The people who have always been there in my lifetime are half saturated and drawn in almost like drawn in stone. The people who have became additions to my family are extremely vibrant and "new looking," while the people who I no longer see anymore for different reasons are dark and black and white as to symbolize the past. this will be displayed on a piece of wood from my papaw's cabin, who I wish could see my family now in 2017. It's a really personal piece close to my heart.
