Artist Statement

For me, I see this problem in many different ways. I have been influenced strongly by the changing and dying of the leaves. They peak and then die away, for a new batch to come in strongly the next year. I also see the cyclical nature of things as large scale and how nature and the human body and the universe all have extremely similar patterns and I'm trying to figure out the best way to express that. I'm also thinking about actually incorporating the cycle of leaves via scan into a more literal sense of life and death and how the patterns can reverse--- for instance when parents have to bury their child. The main point I'm trying to make is that I have so many ideas flying around about how 'cyclical' the whole word can be, and I'm currently playing with them all. Hopefully soon I find the exact direction I want to go.
